Families looking for one more fun activity before the end of the Christmas break have several free options today, Jan. 3.
For those looking for outdoor fun, the sledding hill is ready and waiting at Greene County’s Seven Hills Park. The park boasts one of only a few public sledding hills in the state, complete with a rope tow that pulls sledders back up the hill, as well as an enclosed shelter house with a fireplace.
Seven Hills Park is located one mile south of Jefferson on Grimmell Road and then one mile south on M Ave.
There is no admission charge for non-members at the Greene County Community Center. Sunday is the second day of the annual free weekend. Adults can enter a drawing for a free membership. Children 8 and younger must be supervised by an adult or a responsible person 14 or older.
Also, the Webb House will be open from 2 to 4 pm every Sunday in January with no admission charge. Children 10 and younger should be accompanied by an adult.
