In Greene County district court Richard Charles Burkhardt, 46, of Jefferson was sentenced to two years in prison after he changed his plea to guilty to a charge of public intoxication-third or subsequent offense. Absentee ballots available for school election

Absentee ballots for the upcoming school election are ready. Both the Greene County and Paton-Churdan districts have regular elections in odd-numbered years. Voters may visit the county auditor’s office at the courthouse during regular business hours, Monday -Friday,  8 am to 4:30 pm,  and vote an absentee ballot. Jeff council to consider use of hotel/motel tax revenue

The Jefferson city council will consider at its meeting Tuesday new criteria for the use of hotel/motel tax revenues.
