All children received a free ticket to take a grown-up to the top of Mahanay Memorial Carillon Tower, compliments of the Chamber. A special treat was the arrival of Santa Claus in a seasonally appropriate New Way garbage truck provided by Scranton Manufacturing Dec. 19.
Those who attended the free showing of National Lampoon’s Christmas comedy “Christmas Vacation” at the Sierra Community Theatre Dec. 12 had plenty of laughs and free admission, thanks to MacDonald Insurance.
Area residents have had help keeping track of all the extra holiday activities around the county with a Holiday Activity Guide prepared by the Chamber. Sponsors for the guide were the Chamber’s emerald members – Home State Bank, Peoples Trust & Savings Bank and Wild Rose Casino – and GreeneCountyNewsOnline. The guide also lists Christmas Eve and Christmas Day services for many Greene County churches.
Wells Fargo Bank supported the Chamber’s Hometown Holiday efforts as an All the Glitter sponsor.
