The weather challenged Jefferson residents during the week that ended Dec. 18 at 6 am. The 3-1/2 inches of precipitation, most of which was rain, resulted in wet basements and flooded yards.
Volunteer weather observer John Beltz reported that 1.98 inches of rain fell Sunday morning into Monday. That followed nearly an inch on Saturday.
Low temperature for the week was 20 degrees at the end of the week. High temperature was 50 degrees Friday, Dec. 12.
