Ballots mailed for FC, West Central merger vote

Members urged to attend merger informational meetings and return ballots by Dec. 18 Farmers Cooperative Company (FC) and West Central® Cooperative on Friday mailed ballot packets to each organization’s voting membership. The ballot packets, which are 9×12 white envelopes with each respective cooperative’s logo, should arrive before Thanksgiving.

Inez McHugh, 1916-2015

 A Service of Remembrance was held Monday, Nov. 23, at Slininger-Schroeder Funeral Home in Jefferson for Inez M. McHugh, 99, of Jefferson.  The Rev Julie Poulsen, pastor of First United Methodist Church in Jefferson, offered words of comfort. Gary Haupert was soloist, accompanied by Danille Curtis. Interment was at the Scranton Township Cemetery in Scranton.
