The first snow of the season fell in Jefferson Nov. 20. The forecast called for 4 to 8 inches, and according to volunteer weather observer John Beltz, Jefferson received four inches.
Weather was again challenging on Thanksgiving Day, as freezing rain caused some travelers to change plans. Jefferson received .84 inches of rain during the 24 hours that began at 6 am Nov. 26.
Jefferson received a total of 1.46 inches of precipitation, including the snow. High temperature for the week was 54 and the low temperature was 10.
