The Scranton city hall is now officially in a new location. Since last week, city clerk Melinda Hinners has occupied the office in the northeast corner of the Community Center (the former Scranton school building). Officially the address is 900 Eagle St.
The facility has been extensively remodeled. While the finishing touches are still being completed, the new location offers a much larger and more convenient area for the clerk’s office and council chambers.
Access to the office is on the east side of the building, using the north door. Signs will be posted soon.
An open house is scheduled during the Christmas in Scranton celebration on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 1. Items for The Scranton Journal can be delivered to city hall. ~The Scranton Journal
