In Greene County district court Randy Alan Gray Jr, 36, of Corning was sentenced Oct. 26 to two years in prison, concurrent to a prison term imposed after probation revocation in a case from April in which Gray was convicted on drug charges. Gray was fined $625 with a $218.75 surcharge. The court determined Gray is unable to pay restitution for his court appointed attorney’s fees. Court costs were $120. (Sentencing: Honorable Adria A. Persons pleaded not guilty at arraignments as follows: Fredrick Joseph Joy, 55, of Carroll, operating vehicle without owner’s consent; Jody Lyn Schad, 40, of Jefferson, driving while license barred; Andrew Steven Gathercoal, 21, of Grand Junction, assault causing bodily injury or mental illness; and Matthew L. Ehlers, 28, of Henderson, KY, theft-second degree, eluding, and possession of marijuana. Trial dates were set for Dec. 15 in every case.
Cases were initiated in Greene County district court as follows: Karah Jean Brown, 18, of Jefferson, unauthorized use of credit card under $1,000; Michael Anthony Long, 55, of Grand Junction, sex abuse-second degree and lascivious acts with a child – fondle or touch; Jessica Amber Montoya, 20, of Churdan, domestic abuse assault causing injury or mental illness; and Anthony Grife, 22, of Scranton, sex abuse-second degree (three counts), lascivious acts with a minor, lascivious acts with a child- fondle or touch, sexual exploitation of a minor- cause to engage in act, and sexual exploitation of a minor- promote film.
