The Town and Country Band promises famous and familiar toe-tapping, hand-clapping dance music, as well as pie, at “Dessert and Dance Tunes” Sunday, Nov. 1, at 2 pm at St Joseph Parish Center in Jefferson.
The play list includes Big Band music, swing, rock ‘n’ roll, waltzes, polkas and even the Chicken Dance. “When we play we see toes tapping and we know there are people just itching to get up and dance,” director Victoria Chargo said. “While our concerts in the park are great, the grass there just isn’t right for dancing. We’re playing at the parish center so folks can give in to the urge and get up and dance. We think this will be a really fun event.”
Along with dance music will be pie and ice cream, other desserts and beverages.
Free will donations will be accepted. Proceeds will go toward equipment purchases.
