Peg Raney, program director of Jefferson Matters: Main Street, is an inaugural recipient of a Jude West Memorial Scholarship to attend the Iowa Nonprofit Summit Nov. 9-10 in Ames.
Raney will attend the summit on behalf of Jefferson Matters: Main Street, but she also serves on two other non-profit boards, the Bell Tower Community Foundation and Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation.
“Jude West was a tremendous friend to Iowa nonprofit organizations. As a professor and co-director of the Larned A. Waterman Iowa Nonprofit Resource Center at the University of Iowa, he pioneered the successful and ongoing ‘nonprofit Organization Effectiveness’ courses; he assisted with the Endow Iowa program; he led training sessions on nonprofit principles and practices across the state; and did so much more,” a press release states.
