One-third of state’s soybeans harvested last week

Warm and dry weather allowed Iowa farmers to harvest nearly one-third of the state’s soybean crop during the week ending Oct. 11, according the USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service. In Greene County magistrate court a judgment was entered in a case that was initiated in district court against Tonya Jean Wenger, 44, of Scranton. Wenger was charged with domestic abuse assault causing injury. The charge was amended to assault-simple and magistrate Rita Pedersen entered a deferred judgment.
