The Ram girls cross country team had two medalists and finished sixth in team standings at the South Central Calhoun Titan Invitational meet in Lake City Tuesday. It was the first time this season a Greene County team finished in the top half in team scores.
Olivia Hansen finished in eight place with a time of 22:20.4. Right behind her was Emily Finch in ninth place with a time of 22:21.5. Hansen and Finch received medals. Melanie Doran set a personal record, 24:56.8, with her 30th place finish. Other Ram times were Sunny Mobley in 63rd place at 27:25.0, Regan Lamoureux in 66th place in 27:51.3, Emma Larson in 73rd place in 29:56.0, and Emily Most in 75th place at 30:26.8. Running in the JV race were Emily Bettey in 17th place at 29:44.4 and Caytlyn Adamson in 25th place at 33:55.1. All runners ran faster than their average times.
Pocahontas won the girls race with a team score of 37. Other team scores were South Central Calhoun 89, Southeast Valley 106, Alta-Aurelia 122, OA-BCIG 157, Greene County 176, Ogden 188, Kuemper (Carroll) 194, Sioux Central 205, Ridge View 215, East Sac 245, and Manson-Northwest Webster 320.
Nick Killion was the first Ram across the finish line in the boys race, finishing in 65th place with a time of 21:19.7. Other finishes were Ben Wilkins in 81st place at 23:12.7, EthanWoodruff in 82nd place in 23:20.4, Nathan Kennedy in 83rd place at 24:17.8, and Jacob Hueser in 88th place at 30.24.0. Kennedy and Hueser ran faster than their average times.
Kuemper won the boys race with a team score of 95. Other team scores were Ogden 96, OA-BCIG 103, Woodward Academy 104, Manson-Nw 123, Southeast Valley 125, Sioux Central 138, South Central Calhoun 161, Pocahontas 241, Alta-Aurelia 255, Ridge View 271 and Greene County 375.
