A Ram victory over the third ranked Webster City Lynx was within reach a couple of times, but the 3A District 2 game ended with a third loss in close games in three weeks. Final score was 36-34. The Rams are now 2-3 overall and 0-2 in the district.

Rockets top Eagles of Eagle Grove in volleyball
The Paton-Churdan volleyball team topped Eagle Grove in a home match Thursday. Game scores were 25-19, 25-16, 20-25, 25-16.
