Greene County junior varsity volleyball coach Carly Tiffany-Brown has provided statistics for the team’s early efforts on the season. The team is 1-2 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference after posting a win Tuesday against Roland-Story.
The team started the season Sept. 8 in Maxwell against Collins-Maxwell-Baxter and lost the match. Set scores were not provided. Onica Delp, Samantha Hardaway, Zoe Joy and Ashly Millard all served at 100 percent. Team serve percentage was 93. Chantel Flack did not serve but had eight digs. Hardaway was credited with 12 assists. Jordan Teeples was 18 of 22 hitting and had five kills.
Against Nevada on Sept. 10 scores were 22-25, 22-25 and 25-23. The team serving percentage was 85, with Flack, Katlyn McColley and Millard at 100 percent and Emily Heupel at 93 percent. Flack had 11 digs and Hardaway had nine. Hardaway also had 14 assists. Teeples again had five kills.
The JV team played Roland-Story on Sept. 15 and won the match, with set scores of 18-21, 21-14, 15-11. Flack and Millard served at 100 percent with Hardaway at 93 percent, Teeples at 91 percent and Sydney Schiltz at 90 percent. Team percentage was 86. Teeples had eight kills, Flack had 11 digs, and hardaway had 17 assists.
