P-C board to appoint someone to fill a vacancy

The Paton-Churdan board of education will hold a special meeting  Thursday to appoint a someone to fill a vacancy. Brad Wilson resigned from the board in August, after the regular board meeting. Business manager Mitch Lewis explained that with a change in the State Code effective July 1, his resignation was effective immediately upon the school receiving his notification.

Pedaler’s Jamboree overnights in Jefferson

The first Pedaler’s Jamboree – Iowa drew 1,304 registered riders Sept. 5-6. The bicycle ride used the Raccoon River Valley Trail from Waukee to Jefferson and back to Waukee, with riders spending the night in Jefferson.
