The Greene County Ram cross country teams ran in hot, humid conditions at the Wildcat Invitational at West Central Valley (Redfield) at the 5 X 80 Golf Course in Menlo.
Olivia Hansen medaled with a fourth place finish with a personal record of 23:47. Melanie Doran was 17th with a personal record of 27:04. Sunny Mobley was 27th with a time of 30:23.9. Regan Lamoureux was right behind in 28th place with a personal record time of 30:30.7. Other finishes were Emily Most, 32nd, 31:48.8 (PR), Emma Larson, 33rd, 31:57; Caytlyn Adamson, 46th, 38.09.5; and Emily Bettey, 47th, 38:28.5.
The girls finished fifth of five times. Team scores were Exira/EHK 38; West Central Valley 54, I-35 72, Adair-Casey 80 and Greene County 92.
Best finish for the boys was Kane Borgerson in 20th place with a time of 19:40.4. Other finishes were Nick Killion, 42nd, 21:41.8; Ben Wilkins, 53rd, 25:10 (PR), Nathan Kennedy, 78th, 26:45.4; and Jacob Hueser, 88th, 33:03.1.
The boys finished tied for eighth of nine teams. Team scores were Nodaway Valley 33, West Central Valley 92, I-35 96, Woodward Academy 113, Adair-Casey 118, Audubon 146, MSM 149, and Clarinda Academy and Greene County 208. Paton-Churdan had runners at the meet but not enough for a team score.
