The Community Players of Greene County will present a readers theatre production of Shakespeare’s “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” Sept. 11-13.
As Players president Clay Ross explains, a readers theatre is performed by actors with scripts in-hand, with minimal sets, props and costumes.
Performances will be Friday and Saturday, Sept. 11 and 12, at 7 pm in the theatre at Greene County High School. There will be a $5 admission.
“A Midsummer Night’s Dream” is set in the countryside, so the Sunday matinee performance will be at the east shelter house at Spring Lake Park on 195th St west of County Road P-33 northwest of Grand Junction. The performance will begin at 2 pm; a free will donation will be accepted. Attendees should bring their own seating.
