RSVP by close of business Wednesday
Greene County 4-H members, families, and volunteers are invited to a countywide Greene County 4-H picnic at Spring Lake, to be held Saturday, Aug. 29, beginning with activities at 6 pm and the meal starting at 6:30 pm.
Also invited are youth and families interested in joining or learning more about 4-H.
The event is being organized by the Greene County 4-H Youth Development Committee to celebrate the new 4-H year through food and fun. Attendees will get the chance to participate in activities such as a scavenger hunt, yard games, kickball, art, and skating. Skating will be avaible after the meal until 8 pm.
“This is just one way to say thank you to all the volunteers, families, and 4-H members for all of their hard work this past year, as well as welcome current families and new families into this next 4-H year,” said county youth and 4-H coordinator Sarah Jo Reynolds. “Enrollment for the 2015-2016 4-H year begins on Tuesday, Sept. 1, and re-enrollments are due on Tuesday, Nov. 17.We look forward to what the new 4-H year brings.”
There is no cost for the meal, skating, or activities. Thanks to sponsorship from Peoples Trust & Savings Bank for skating, and VFW Post #9599 for meat, the Greene County 4-H youth development committee is able to make this event possible.
