The Greene County Education Association is planning a pair of events to raise funds for scholarships that will be awarded to Greene County seniors next spring.
The first, a silent auction, is slated for this Friday, Aug. 21, during the pre-season “pop” scrimmage. Up for auction will be a package featuring four booster seats, reserved seating at Linduska Field, and admission to all four home varsity football games.
To salute the volleyball ad cross country teams, there will be Ram Pride Baskets filled with Ram gear.
The Rams will scrimmage the Panorama Panthers at 7 pm at Linduska Field. The scrimmage will also be the debut of the new bleachers.
The second fundraiser is a Kick-off Tailgate preceding the first home game Friday, Sept. 4, in the parking lot at Linduska Field. A free will donation will be accepted for the barbecue meal. The Rams play the Carroll Kuemper Knights, and there will be extra entertainment with the Jefferson park and recreation department’s mini cheerleaders.
