The cancer support groups from Jefferson and Scranton will meet together Tuesday, Aug. 18, at 6:30 pm at Christ Lutheran Church in Jefferson to celebrate their first year of supporting and encouraging each other.
The groups are coordinated by Sharon Stalder, a cancer survivor. Stalder is also known throughout the county as an excellent baker, and she is planning a dessert buffet for the get-together. All cancer survivors and their caregivers are welcome.
