Plan ahead: Driver’s license office closed next week
The driver’s license service at the Greene County treasurer’s office will be closed next week, July 20-24, according to county treasurer Donna Lawson. County residents should plan ahead to avoid inconvenience. Lawson presented her semi annual budget report to the county board of supervisors on Monday. That report is posted under the Calendar/Agenda tab at GreeneCountyNewsOnline.

In Greene County magistrate court a judgment was entered July 8 against Jeremy Ernest Andrews of Jefferson on a charge of theft-fifth degree. Andrews was fined $65 with a $22.75 surcharge. He must also pay a $125 Law Enforcement Initiative (LEI) surcharge, $19.99 restitution and $21.50 court costs.
