An annual farmland leasing workshop is scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 6, at 1:30 pm at the Greene County Extension office meeting room in Jefferson.
The workshop will be facilitated by ISU Extension and Outreach farm management specialist Shane Ellis and will include topics like updated land value and cash rental rate surveys, types of farmland lease arrangements, determining fair cash rents, writing and terminating a farm lease, and how to find other information from ISU Extension related to farm leases.
Participants will also receive a comprehensive workbook with supporting material as part of their registration fee. The pre-registration cost of the workshop is $20 per individual, or $30 per couple. Pre-registration is due by 4:30 pm on Tuesday, Aug. 4. Walk-in registrations are welcome, but an additional $5 fee will be charged.
