Competition isn’t only for youngsters at the Greene County Fair. The open classes, displayed on the east end of Clover Hall, showcase the talents of residents from all corners of the county.
Competition is friendly and for a good cause in the Peoples’ Choice quilt block contest. With donations equaling votes, fair-goers can select their favorite from among 37 quilt blocks. All proceeds from the voting will go to the Greene County 4-H program.
Also, the blocks from last year’s contest have been assembled into a lovely quilt which is now being raffled, with those proceeds also going to the 4-H program. Raffle tickets will be available at Clover Hall until the drawing at 2:30 pm Sunday.
Clover Hall will be open Sunday from noon to 4 pm, with exhibits released to their owners at 4.
