Today, Sunday, is the last day to catch all there is to see at the Greene County Fair.
In Clover Hall, every Greene County 4-H Club has a booth where members are displaying their exhibits. The theme “Dare to Discover” is carried out in various ways, including maps, rockets, and even the Tardis.
4-H members in the poultry project couldn’t take their chickens to the fair because of the avian influenza outbreak, but they did get to demonstrate their knowledge to a judge and there’s a hint of chickens in the chicken barn (and more rabbits than usual).
A walk through the new swine barn is a highlight. Fair Association members have already started raising funds for a second building similar to the swine barn to replace the aging sheep barns.
Clover Hall will be open Sunday from noon to 4 pm, as will the commercial exhibit hall, which has been moved south to the same building as the Clover Café.
And speaking of the Clover Café, after Sunday, there won’t be 4-H beefburgers again till next July. Clover Café is the major fundraiser for the 4-H program, and a fun place for 4-H members to learn and practice customer service skills.

Grandstand entertainment Sunday night is the Grand River Rodeo at 7 pm.
