Wild Rose Jefferson announced Monday that country icon and pop crossover artist Kenny Rogers will headline the casino’s grand opening entertainment. Rogers will perform Friday, Aug. 7, at 7:30 pm in the Greene Room Event Center at Wild Rose Jefferson. Tickets are on sale on the Wild Rose website.

Beltz gives weather summary for June
Jefferson received nearly twice the normal precipitation in June according to volunteer weather observer John Beltz. Beltz reported a total of 8.68 inches, compared to the normal 4.67 inches. He reported rain on 14 days, with the heaviest rainfalls being 3.85 inches on June 25 and 1.47 inches on June 12.

Jared and Lindsey Brinker of Carroll are parents of a daughter, Emma Sue Brinker, born on Tuesday, June 30. She weighed 9 lbs 7 ounces and was 20 inches long. She is welcomed by her brother Michael, 12. Grandparents are Lyle and Judy Brinker of Jefferson, Marcia Mitchell of Carroll, and the late Ian Mitchell.
