Greene County Extension recently shared news that the NEW Cooperative Foundation has again committed about $30,000 to area 4-H programs in all counties in its 11 county trade area, including Greene County.
“NEW Cooperative takes great pride in supporting our area youth 4-H programs,” a spokesperson said. “We strongly feel that 4-H helps these youth build the foundation to become future leaders in our local communities. We are excited for them as they gain all of the valuable skills and knowledge the 4-H program offers.”
The NEW Cooperative Foundation was established in 2011 as the charitable division of NEW Cooperative INC. “The ability to continue supporting outstanding youth, agriculture, and community organizations and events in our area is a privilege that the NEW Cooperative Foundation greatly appreciates. Our Foundation prides itself in providing assistance and support to organizations, , programs and projects within the NEW Cooperative service area that directly benefit and enhance the quality of life in our member’s local communities,” the spokesperson said.
