Those who attend the Bell Tower Festival parade next Saturday will find a close, convenient and comfortable place to feed their family after the parade. The veterans groups – VFW, American Legion, and VFW auxiliary – will host a spaghetti lunch at the VFW hall on the east side of the courthouse square immediately following the parade.
Lunch will be served from 11:30 am to 2 pm. The menu will feature spaghetti, garlic bread, lettuce salad, dessert and a beverage. A free will donation will be accepted.
Also, bidding is still open on the silent auction of a quilt in a flag motif and fleece blankets from each of the branches of military service. Bid sheets are in the east assembly room of the courthouse. Bidding will close Thursday, June 11.
All proceeds from the auction and the lunch will directly benefit the VFW building fund. Persons who would like more information can contact VFW post commander Don Ihnken at 515-370-3140.
