Regency Park hosts supper and styles

Regency Park Nursing & Rehab of Jefferson recently hosted its annual potato bar and style show. More than 100 people attended the fun evening.  The Greene County High School junior class graciously loaned the use of the Roarin’ 20’s décor that was used to decorate the prom this year. The decorations provided a special atmosphere for this annual event.

Weather still challenging Iowa farmers

Wet and windy conditions slowed planting for Iowa farmers during the week ending May 17, according to the USDA, National Agricultural Statistics Service. Statewide there were only 2.6 days suitable for fieldwork (2.8 days in west central Iowa). Operators reported the wet weather led to standing water in some fields and the wind halted spraying activity.
