Greene County softball team wins opener at home
The Greene County varsity softball team used a seven-run second inning to claim a 9-7 win over Colfax-Mingo Wednesday evening in Jefferson. Senior Marissa Promes pitched all seven innings. She allowed seven hits and the Tigerhawks’ runs were all earned. Promes had 13 strike-outs and six walks and hit one batter.
