The Greene County Master Gardeners annual plant sale offers gardeners an opportunity to buy plants that had their start in Greene County, making them “a proven product to the area.” The 13th annual sale is slated for Saturday, May 16, from 9 to 10:30 am at the commercial building north of Clover Hall at the Greene County Fairgrounds.
The sale will offer perennial plants, annual plants, vegetables, house plants, free literature, and other gardening items. Master Gardeners will be available to answer gardening questions, particularly about the plants being sold. “The plants go fast so come early for the best choices,” a spokesperson said.
The proceeds from the sale are used to provide free public horticulture programs in Greene County, to underwrite the cost of the annual garden tour, to benefit several public garden areas, and for other gardening projects.
