All area artists and lovers of art are encouraged to begin thinking about their exhibits in this year’s Bell Tower Festival art show.
The show will include original paintings, sculpture, pottery, fabric, photography and mixed media selections. Art can be offered for sale if the artist chooses.
An addition this year is an invitation to area art lovers to share favorites from their private collections for display in the show.
The venue for the art show will again be the Greene County Historical Museum, 219 E. Lincoln Way. Art for display will be accepted at the museum Wednesday, June 10, from 1 to 4 pm, and Thursday, June 11, from 5 to 8 pm.
The show will open after the Bell Tower Festival’s launch on Friday evening, June 12, until 9 pm; Saturday after the parade until 9 pm; and Sunday, June 14, from 1 to 4 pm. Artists can pick up their pieces Sunday after 3:30.
“We are aiming for a big show for Bell Tower Festival 2015,” said Roger Aegerter, executive director of the Historical Society and an artist himself. “I know there is plenty of artistic talent in Greene County. This show provides a chance for area artists to display their work and enhance our community’s cultural life.”
