March was dry, and a little warmer than normal
March was much drier than normal, but temperatures were a mixed bag, according to data compiled by volunteer weather observer John Beltz. Jefferson received no snow in March, compared to a normal 4.8 inches. Precipitation was just .14 inch, compared to the normal 2.16 inches.

The Greene County board of supervisors at its March 30 meeting took steps to make it a little easier for cities to deal with abandoned properties.
