Rocket senior Jake Carey won the 400 meter dash and the 800 m run at the Woodward-Granger Hawk Relays in Woodward Tuesday.
He ran the 400 m in :53.95, 1.45 seconds ahead of the second place finisher. Carey’s 800 m time was 2:08.60, a full 10 seconds ahead of the second place finisher.
Senior Colton Fitzpatrick also garnered points for the Rockets with a fourth place finish in the 400 m dash and a time of :59.36.
Paton-Churdan placed sixth at the meet with 32 points. Other team scores were Dallas Center-Grimes 162, Greene County 147, Iowa Christian Academy 77, Woodward-Granger 71.5, Glidden-Ralston 39 and West Central 18.5
