Rotary Club of Jefferson on April 27 awarded its third and final grant awards from the proceeds of the November 2014 auction.

(Iowa MOST Guatemalan cleft palate and lip surgical repair project lead by Jefferson native Dr. John Canady; Xicotepec, Mexico, improvement project and FAMSCO-Fire and Medical Supply Company to provide supplies to those in need); Rotary Club of Jefferson president-elect John Brunow who accepted $600 on behalf of the “Little Library” project; Jane Millard, Jefferson library director, who accepted $1,000 for the library entrance renovation project; Greene county kindergarten teacher Sherri Schwaller who accepted$2,500 for the purchase of DVD players and DVDs to promote literacy; Dianne Blackmer who accepted $1,000 for Christian Action Resource Center; Jeff Lamoureaux who accepted $850 for Heart of Iowa Habitat for Humanity, and Rotary Club of Jefferson immediate past president Tim Christensen, 2014 charity auction chair.
The 2015 dinner and auction is slated for Friday, Nov. 13.
