The Greene County boys track and field team placed fourth of eight teams at the Tiger-Knight Relays in Carroll April 23.
Ram senior Alex Rasmussen took the Rams’ only first place finish with a throw of 145′ 10″ in the discus throw. He did not compete in the shot put. Senior Dan Neal placed third in the shot with a throw of 43′ 1-3/4″.
Second place finishes for the Rams came in two individual events and two relays. Junior Daric Whipple was second in the 400 meter low hurdles in a time of :57.68, and junior Max Neese was second in the 200 meter dash in :24.02.
The 4 X 100 meter relay team of seniors Dylan McConnnell and Dylan Hamilton, with sophomore Dalton Weber and junior Max Neese finished second in :44.78. The 4 X 110 meter shuttle hurdle relay placed second with a time of 1:05.04. McConnell, junior Tyler Beger, Whipple and senior Jordan Hostetler comprised the team.
McConnell placed third in the 110 m hurdles with a time of :16.56.
Carroll Community won the team title with 143 points, followed by Boone with 108 points. Other team totals were Atlantic 85, Greene County 68, Harlan 59, Denison-Schleswig 53, Council Bluffs Abraham Lincoln 26, and Kuemper Catholic 13.
