The Greene County boys track and field team placed seventh out of 13 teams at the Saydel Eagles boys invitation April 16 in Saydel. Madrid won the meet with 143 points, well ahead of Number Two Gilbert with 103.5 points. Other point totals were North Polk 83, Panorama 73.5, Saydel 70, Ballard 63, Greene County 59, Pleasantville 50, Roland-Story 49, Nevada 36, Colfax-Mingo 18, Des Moines Christian 18, and Winterset 6.
The Rams had no events place first. The 4 X 100 meter relay placed second with a time of :44.93, one-quarter of a second behind Madrid. On the team were Dylan McConnell, Dalton Weber, Dylan Hamilton and Max Neese. Neese finished second in the 200 meter dash with a time of :23.58, and he finished third in the 100 meter dash with a time of :11.56.
Daric Whipple placed third in the 400 meters with a time of :58.19. Alex Rasmussen placed third in the discus throw with a throw of 141′ 7″.
