Deferred judgment in fatal accident

Larry Lee Warren Varnell, 22, of Churdan was granted a deferred judgment on a charge of providing alcohol to a minor resulting in death, a class D felony. Sentencing was done in April 7 in Boone County district court by the Honorable James B. Malloy. Varnell had changed his plea guilty to the charge in January.
