Pirates and patriots at Greene County schools

The Greene County schools were home for pirates and patriots this past week. ‘Coffee with Carl’ Thursday in Churdan

Greene County Medical Center CEO Carl Behne will be at the Churdan public library this Thursday, April 2, at 8:30 am for his informal “Coffee with Carl.” Behne will give an update on the building project, capital campaign, UnityPoint Clinic and other UnityPoint Health partnerships. Easter egg hunts slated for Saturday

Easter egg hunts will be the order of the day next Saturday, April 4. The Jefferson park and recreation department and the Jefferson Kiwanis Club will co-sponsor an Easter egg hunt at the Greene County Community Center for toddlers  through third graders. Registration  will begin at 9:30 am with the hunt going quickly at 10.

Jazzatonics to championships

The Greene County High School jazz choir, The Jazzatonics, have been invited to compete in the Iowa Vocal Jazz Championships for the fourth consecutive year. Invitations to the competition were based on a submitted performance tape. The Championships will be held at Morningside College in Sioux City April 7.
