Staff at the H.F. and Maude Marchant Memorial Library in Scranton have planned activities as follows:
Adults:
- March 17 – Book discussion 1 – 2 pm. Favorite books, best sellers and popular novels.
- March 19 – Cancer support group 4 pm.
- March 24 – Songwriter and poet John Richardson 5 – 6 pm.
- March 31 – Author discussion 1 – 2 pm. Favorite Jodi Picoult books.
Every Thursday – Join us from 10 am – noon to explore a lesson on a DVD lecture series followed by discussion.
Every Saturday – Coffee and conversation 10 am – noon.
Children:
Thursdays 4:30 – 5:30 pm (must have permission slip signed and submitted before participation.)

- March 26 – Book group.
Minecraft MONDAYS! Bring your Minecraft enabled device to the library and create new worlds in a multi-player environment with other enthusiasts. Come right after school until 5 pm. Ages 8 through adult unless accompanied and supervised by an adult
March 20 – Movie Insurgent at the Sierra Theatre in Jefferson for grades 6-12. Must sign up at the library. Free admission and concession voucher.
Hours: Monday 11 am – 5 pm; Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 3 – 6 pm; Wednesday, 2 – 5 pm; Saturday, 10 am – 12 pm.
