It may not be the biggest show on Earth, but the Bell Tower Festival steering committee is working to make this year’s Bell Tower Festival – Bell Tower Big Top – something special.
“There are so many fun parts of a circus that we’re bringing to the Festival,” said Toni Linberg (pictured, right), chair of the Greene County Chamber’s events committee. “We’ve already booked a juggler, a magician, and even performing dogs for the plaza stage, and that’s just a start. Our headliner band, PopROCKS, will be another big show all on its own. ”
The Bell Tower Festival is the Chamber’s premier event every year, bringing thousands of people to Jefferson. “The Bell Tower Festival is something everyone who grew up in Jefferson remembers from their childhood, with the excitement of new things to see and fun things to do. This year’s festival will be like that,” said Chamber tourism committee chair Angie Pedersen (pictured, left), who is among those who have childhood memories of the Festival.
Bell Tower Big Top is a big production with a few supporting “ringmaster” roles yet to fill. “We already have a good group of volunteers, but there’s room for more. This is a fun volunteer opportunity that doesn’t stretch out for months and months. It’s a good way to contribute to the community without a long term commitment,” Linberg said.
Individuals, couples or organizations that would like more information about playing a supporting role in Bell Tower Big Top can call the Greene County Chamber office at 515-386-2155 or Linberg at 712-790-6063.
