In Greene County district court Patrick Ryan Thompson Sr, 24, of Grand Junction pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of a firearm by a felon-second offense and carrying a weapon. A trial date was set for May 12.
Cases were initiated in district court during the week ending Feb. 20 as follows: Mark Lee Jackson, 48, of Des Moines, burglary-third degree (two counts) and possession of burglar’s tools; Marshall Raymond Estabrook, 38, of Des Moines, burglary-third degree (two counts) and possession of a controlled substance-third or subsequent offense (two counts); Eliza Joy Smith, 25, of Grand Junction, operating while intoxicated (OWI)-first offense, possession of marijuana, and child endangerment; James John Souder, 48, of Scranton, theft-second degree, and manufacture, deliver or possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine; and Nicole Marie Souder, 39, of Scranton, theft-second degree, and manufacture, deliver or possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine.
