The new year started out right for several at Greene County Medical Center as human resources director Cathy Krieger announced several promotions. Krieger said, “These internal promotions create an exciting opportunity for us to find others who are interested in being ‘Always Here, Always Caring’.”
In January, Christa Simons received the promotion to chief operating officer. Simons has been with the medical center for 30 years, most recently as the executive director of support services and director of materials management.
Shannon Black, current registration supervisor and financial advocate, has been promoted to director of materials management, effective March 2. Black has been with the medical center since 2010.
Lori Harrah, current acute care nurse supervisor, recently accepted a promotion to Long Term Care director of nursing. Harrah has been a medical center employee since 1997.
Kevin Schon, current information technology grant administrator, has been named interim information technology manager. Schon joined the IT department in 2011.
“The medical center is committed to hiring good, smart people who want to learn and achieve. These recent promotions and the hiring of new talent will drive the future of the medical center and our focus on patient-centered care,” Krieger said.
