The bustle of finishing work on the new Hy-Vee grocery store has not slowed work on the new McFarland Clinic building next door. As of Tuesday night all windows are installed, with only doors needed to enclose the building.
According to a McFarland Clinic spokesperson, McFarland Clinic providers will begin seeing patients in the new clinic in early June. “The transition will be seamless. Our office will not be closed while we make the move,” she said.
The effective termination date of McFarland Clinic’s lease with Greene County Medical Center is June 19. The medical center plans to use the space for a UnityPoint Clinic.
The Jefferson Hy-Vee store will be one of the first to have a clinic adjacent. There will be a door directly from the clinic to the grocery, with the pharmacy department closest to the clinic.
