The Ram girls basketball team finished its season with a one point overtime loss to West Central Valley in Stuart Saturday evening. The loss in the opening round of Class 3A Region 8 post season play left coach Chad Morton’s Rams with an overall record of 8-14, with eight of those losses being in the last nine games of the season.

“Most Posh” restrooms award goes to new Hy-Vee

The Greene County board of supervisors on Monday by consensus gave the okay to the Greene County Bar Association to rename the northwest office suite on the third floor of the courthouse after Iowa Supreme Court Justice David Harris. It is the office suite occupied by Judge Harris and his clerk while he served on the Supreme Court.

Greene County offices, Jefferson city offices and the Jefferson public library will be closed tomorrow, Feb. 16, for the Presidents Day holiday. In Jefferson, garbage pick-up will be on the holiday schedule, with routes picked up one day later than usual. The Greene County Community Center will be open regular hours, 5 am to 9:30 pm.
