Wild Rose Jefferson is still planning to open in early August, contrary to what has been announced at two recent public meetings. At the county board of supervisors meeting Monday and at the Jefferson city council meeting Tuesday, city officials said that Wild Rose has moved the date up to June.
According to Wild Rose spokesperson Jamie Buelt, August is still the target. “We’d love to open earlier, but there are many considerations, not the least of which is the extension of the sewer by the city,” Buelt said.
The city council approved the bid documents for the sewer extension at its Jan. 27 meeting. Bids are due Feb. 20 and a bid will be awarded at the Feb. 24 meeting. The project specifications include a June 15 completion.
Buelt said Wild Rose is planning to hold a job fair the second week in April.
