The Community Fellowship series will focus on preparing for many types of emergencies. Each Wednesday social time begins at 4 pm with the speaker at 4:30. The speaker always has time for questions and comments following the presentation. A light supper is served at 5:30 pm. A free will donation is accepted for the refreshments and meal. The series is hosted at Trinity Lutheran Church at 801 W. Lincoln Way in Jefferson.
Topics and speakers are:
Lifeline, Feb. 4, presented by Pam Mentzer, Greene County public health. The Lifeline allows seniors and others to be safe in their home with an easy to use call system. The program is now managed locally by Greene County public health.
Family emergency planning, Feb. 11, presented by Pat Miller of Home State Bank. Miller will discuss what information we should have available in case of an emergency. All those attending will receive a free organization book.
Services available, Feb. 18, Laine Custer RN, BSN, Greene County public health. Custer will talk about the varied services provided by Greene County public health.
County emergency planning, Feb. 25, sheriff Steve Haupert. Learn about the county’s emergency management plans and what is expected of county residents in the event of an emergency.
