The Jefferson park and recreation department will once again host dog obedience classes at the Greene County Community Center. Submissions are being accepted now through Feb. 28 for the Iowa Poetry Association’s 2015 Lyrical Iowa competition. Each year, approximately 300 of the best poems submitted by Iowans of all ages are published in the anthology. Many Greene County poets have been included in previous years’ anthologies.
