The Greene County Ram girls snapped a six game losing streak and the boys moved closer to a winning overall record with a pair of lopsided victories over Colfax-Mingo in Jefferson Friday night. The C-M Tigerhawks have yet to win a basketball game this season.

Rockets split home games v. Spartans of E/EH-K
The Paton-Churdan Rockets hosted the Exira/Elk Horn-Kimballton Spartans in Friday night hoops and split games. In the girls game, the Spartans topped the Rockets 67-45. In the boys game, the Rockets beat the Spartans by nearly the same margin, 60-39.

The Greene County wrestling team put one in the win column in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference with a dual meet win over Nevada in Jefferson Thursday. Score was 57-6. The Paton-Churdan basketball teams are giving Rocket fans plenty to boast about. The boys are 9-2 overall and 9-1 in the Rolling Valley Activities Conference, and the girls are 7-4 overall and 7-3 in the Rolling Valley. Both teams won Thursday night on a long road trip to Charter Oak to play the Bobcats of Charter Oak-Ute.
