The Greene County Ram girls hoops team is most likely very glad not to have to play the PCM Mustangs again this season. After losing to the Mustangs in Monroe by a 68-35 score in December, the Rams lost on their home floor 67-31 Tuesday night. The Mustangs, ranked 13th in Class 3A, are now 8-3 on the season, while the Rams are 4-7 with six straight losses.
The two teams played a quarter of even-up ball, with PCM scoring 17 points and the Rams scoring 16 points in the third quarter. The score at the beginning of the quarter was 43-13, though. The Rams were held to just six points in the first quarter and seven points in the second. In the fourth quarter the Rams scored only two points.
Lead scorer for the Rams was Kayla Mobley with 11 points. Marissa Promes scored eight, Tressa Rasmussen scored four, and Nicole Rohner, Kenna Marquardt, Laurin Lyons and Jolee Wessling scored two points each.
