Grow Greene County Gaming Corporation’s series of town hall meeting to discuss how charitable funds generated by Wild Rose Jefferson should be distributed begins this evening, Jan. 11.
Meetings are scheduled for Jan. 11 at 4:30 pm at the Community Center in Scranton and at 6 pm at the ISU Extension office in Jefferson; Thursday, Jan. 15, at 6 pm at the William Paton Library in Paton and at 7:30 pm at the Community Center in Churdan; and Monday, Jan. 19, at 6 pm at the Community Center/Library in Rippey and at 7:30 pm at the St Brigid Parish Center in Grand Junction.
Grow Greene County anticipates that charitable funds will start to be available for distribution in the spring of 2016. The casino is expected to open this coming August. Adjusted gross revenues of the gambling facility are estimated at $30 million a year.
Each of the meetings will also include a brief summary of how Grow Greene County operates, and some drawings showing how the casino will look inside and out.
